Berkshires Bed Breakfast, The Applegate Inn B&B

As you drive through the massive gates of Applegate Inn, the beauty and elegance of the inn, and the manicured lawns and gardens, strike you. The interior of the inn is even more impressive. Our relaxed atmosphere is created by the careful selection of paint colors and wallpaper, well-appointed antiques, comfortable furnishings, fresh flowers and tasteful art selections.

When not exploring the area or relaxing in your room at our Stockbridge Bed and Breakfast, enjoy the inn's common areas, all of which are handicapped accessible. A variety of wine and cheeses are served nightly in the inviting formal living room of our Bed and Breakfast Lenox, which has several sitting areas, a large fireplace and a baby grand piano. Conveniently located adjacent to the living room is the sun parlor featuring TV and game areas. These are just the beginning of the amenities offered at our Bed and Breakfast Stockbridge.  A screened-in porch, which runs along the length of the main house, provides an excellent place to gather for views of the gardens, lawn and heated swimming pool. Guests are treated to bowls of fine candies, fruits and nuts throughout the Massachusetts inn's common areas.

Each morning a full gourmet breakfast is served in the formal dining room of our Bed and Breakfast Massachusetts. A variety of tables serving two to six people are elegantly set with fine china, glassware and candles. Breakfast consists of freshly-squeezed juice, a fruit course, cereal, granola, yogurt, the hot entrée of the day, muffins fresh from the oven, breads, cheeses, hard-boiled eggs, vegetables, coffees and teas. On Sundays, a special grand buffet will encourage you to linger over complementary newspapers.

After breakfast, enjoy the natural beauty of the Berkshires by stepping outside. Walk along well maintained paths to enjoy the inn's rose gardens, perennial flowerbeds, fruit orchards and vegetable garden, or sink into one of the large hammocks to catch a glimpse of Gloria's Secret Garden. The shade garden beckons you to explore the variety of plants that are carefully appointed to create an outdoor oasis. A stone bench is the perfect place to read a book or reflect on your stay at the inn. As the seasons change, so do the wonderful views provided at our estate.

Policies

• Minimum Stays - On weekends, a 2 night stay is required during the months of June, September, and October at our Stockbridge MA bed and breakfast. Likewise, a two night weekend stay is required in November through May in rooms with fireplaces. A 3 or 4 night stay is required on all weekends during the months of July and August and on all 3-day holiday weekends which fall throughout the year.  There are times when scheduling allows shorter stays at our Berkshires MA bed and breakfast. 
• Deposits - A one-night deposit is required for one night stays at our Lenox Bed and Breakfast. 50% of the stay is required for stays of 2 of more nights. The full payment is due if guests arrive after and/or depart before the original dates specified on the reservation at our Massachusetts Bed and Breakfast. 
• Cancellations - For cancellations with at least 14 days notice (30 days in July and August) prior to arrival date, deposits will be refunded less a $50 cancellation fee (10% of the total stay in July & August with a minimum of $50) per room.  With less than 14 days notice (30 days in July & August) your deposit is forfeit.  Payment is required for the entire scheduled stay, even if circumstances cause you to arrive late or leave early. These are the cancellation policies for our Berkshires Bed and Breakfast.
  
• Check in is 2:00 PM and check out is 11:00 AM.
• Personal checks, cash, VISA, MasterCard and AMEX are accepted. A 9.7% Room Tax will be added to the rate.
• Prices are based on double occupancy, an extra person in room is $30.00 per night at our Bed and Breakfast Berkshires.
• While guests over 12 years of age are always welcome, we also accept younger children in certain rooms.
• We too love animals, but we must enforce a "no pet" policy.
• Smoking is not permitted indoors at Applegate.
